What’s going on guys, Kalani here.

So why a newsletter?

This just felt like the easiest way for me and Sav to talk to you without everything needing to be a full video.

A lot of you always ask me where should I go, what should I order, what’s actually worth it, what’s not. And there’s a ton of stuff that never makes it into the videos.

Like the places we loved, the places we would never go back to, random little moments, stuff we talk about in the car after filming.

So this is where all that goes.

It’s basically just us letting you in a little more.

I’m Savannah, Kalani’s wife if you didn’t know that already.

I feel like people know I’m around, but I don’t think everyone realizes I’m actually there for most of the trips. I’m just not always on camera.

We’re from Mount Juliet, Tennessee, and I’ve been with him through all of this. The traveling, the random stops, all of it.

I think I see things a little differently than he does.

Kalani is very much like “let’s order the craziest thing on the menu,” and I’m usually looking for a really good coffee shop and somewhere pretty to walk.

I love finding good coffee, I love a slow little stroll, and I notice things he definitely doesn’t 😅

And I know not everyone gets to travel like this, so I’m really excited to share the places we love in a way that makes you feel like you’re there with us.

Back to me for this one.

We were up in South Shields in the northeast of England and went to this place called Colmans Seafood Temple.

I’ve had a lot of food in the UK. A lot.

But they had this cheese soufflé that just hit different.

First bite I literally stopped talking for a second. That’s how you know.

What’s cool too is that place isn’t new. The Colmans family has been doing seafood there for over 100 years, real old school fish and chip roots right by the coast.

So it’s not just good, they’ve been good for a long time.

And every time we’ve gone back, it’s the same. No drop off, no off day, just solid every time.

It’s one of those meals I’ll randomly think about when I’m back home doing nothing.

That’s when you know it’s real.

Okay, mine surprised me.

I had a steak and ale pie and I really didn’t think I was going to like it that much.

But now it’s actually one of my favorite things to get in the UK.

There’s one I still think about. It was at The Barrel Inn in Derbyshire in the Peak District.

And the place itself is just unreal.

It’s been there since the 1500s and it sits up on a hill in the middle of nowhere. I think it’s one of the highest pubs in England and you can see everything from up there.

And the pie was perfect.

Not just a stew with a lid. Fully encased, golden crust, super meaty inside, lots of gravy. Then they give you more gravy on the side which makes it even better.

I had it with a pint of Inch’s cider and I still think about that whole moment.

We’ll break down what we’ve been doing. Not everything, just the stuff that actually matters.

Places we liked, places we didn’t, what we would order again, what we wouldn’t, what’s actually worth your time and money.

We’ll also give you specifics. Exact spots, what we ordered, what we’d skip next time, little tips we wish we knew before going.

Sometimes it might be a full day we had, sometimes it might just be one place that stood out.

And yeah, if we ever mention something from a brand, it’s only going to be stuff we actually use or genuinely like.

If it’s not good, it’s not going in here. We’re not doing fake hype just to put something in front of you.

Your trust matters way more than that.

And the problem is we don’t agree at all.
